Magical Photo Tours offers exclusive small-group journeys led by a Swiss tour leader and a local South African wildlife photographer. Our signature tour, “The Lions of Timbavati & the Leopards of Sabi Sands”, includes the following:

 Guidance and Travel Experience

  • A safe and well-organized travel experience with experienced guides. The entire journey – from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg to the return – is accompanied by our team, consisting of a Swiss tour leader and a local photographer

  • Educational insights into the ecosystem of the Greater Kruger and information about wildlife and their behaviour

  • Personal attention thanks to a small group size of a maximum of eight photographers and up to four accompanying persons (the trip runs from a minimum of three participants)

Photographic Expertise
Travel with two creative and highly skilled professionals:

  • A South African photographer with a university degree in photography, who is also a certified nature (safari) guide, sharing her extensive knowledge openly – giving you a head start for incredible wildlife shots.

  • The tour leader, a professional graphic designer, supports you with her knowledge about image composition during game drives and with post-processing techniques afterwards and during the retreat.

 

Accommodation

  • 2 nights in a private suite at Amaya Timbavati
    All meals and beverages (except some high-range brands), twice-daily game drives in exclusive-use game viewing vehicle

  • 2 nights in a private suite at Summerfields Rose Retreat & Spa
    All meals and selected drinks included

  • 4 nights in a private suite at Little Bush Camp, Sabi Sands
    All meals and beverages (except some high-range brands), twice-daily game drives in exclusive-use game viewing vehicle

* Domestic flights: Each flight takes around one hour and is included in the package price in economy class. An upgrade to business class can be requested for an additional fee once the airlines confirm the aircraft type, which typically happens only a few weeks before departure. If no business class option is available, extra baggage allowance can be arranged at an additional cost. As soon as we receive further details regarding domestic flights and luggage regulations, we will provide you with all the relevant information.

Photographer in a double room: CHF 9,500 per person

Single room supplement: CHF 1,900

Discount for a non-photographing accompanying person in a double room: CHF 950
