Hide Photography

You have surely admired those wonderful photos: a waterhole in the foreground, behind it a drinking big cat looking straight into your soul? Such images are typically created from a hide – an underground blind where photographers set up and wait for animals to quench their thirst.
Photography on Game Drives
Game drives are the classic form of safari in the national parks of Southern Africa. The vehicles (often called "game viewers") usually have three rows of seats and are fully off-road capable. Indeed, there are very few tarmac roads, and in certain reserves, vehicles are even permitted to leave the tracks for extraordinary sightings. The bumpy ride through the bush is one of the special adventures of a safari.
The animals are accustomed to these vehicles. By adhering to simple behavioural rules, we can approach them closely – sometimes very closely – without disturbing their natural behaviour. This leads to intense experiences and expressive images you will be proud of.

Guidance

You will be accompanied throughout the entire journey by Jacqueline. Joining her are two additional photography professionals, each for the first two days. This allows you to benefit from different perspectives and approaches. After all, every guide has their own specialty – their preferred subjects and styles to photograph. You will thus enjoy a variety of expertise, which will certainly aid in developing your photographic skills.
We at Magical Photo Tours know all these photography professionals personally and have been on safari with them. Therefore, we vouch for their expertise and their genuine passion for sharing their knowledge.
